Finding Your Worth
Updated: Feb 7
There's something about September that gives me "New Years" vibes. Maybe it's because a new school year is starting, or a change of temperature is coming (hallelujah!), but I always feel like turning over a new leaf this time of year, no pun intended:)
If you're like me and like to start fresh in Fall too, rather than focusing on diet or exercise, try to focus on mindset. Specifically, your worth. Not what other people think of you. What YOU think of YOU. You will never find your true value in what other people think (do you even really know what their honest opinions of you are anyway?). Stop waiting for validation from family, friends or strangers on the internet. When you are able to validate yourself you will begin to attract more people around you that that appreciate you. Speaking from experience, I know it's not easy. However, the heavy burden that's blocking you will eventually lift which, in turn, will allow positive energy to flow in.
When you're able to validate your own worth instead of waiting for validation, you will begin to see changes in your habits, mindset, and overall life. It's amazing how much of our energy we waste on other people's opinions when they probably don't even know your story. When I think about the end of my life, I want to look back and feel proud that I stayed true to myself. I don't want to regret wasting precious time not going for something big or putting myself out there because I was scared of what someone might think of me.
If you needed to hear these words today, I hope this message came at the right time for you. It's never too late to own your worth, but there's no time like the present. Use this time of year as a fresh start if you need to. Remember, you are worth it.
