Happy New Year!!
I hope 2023 is off to a healthy and happy start for you! Whether you're dreaming of new goals or creating resolutions, my hope is that 2023 is THE year that you either get started, keep the momentum going or accomplish whatever it is that you set out to do.
But what if writing down these new and exciting plans works great at first, but then slowly starts to lose its appeal? One thing that helps keep your plan(s) in place is having a "word of the year." You can use this word to fall back on, allowing you to quickly bounce back and prevent any derailing of progress or self-sabatoge. Let's face it, life is not a smooth sail. We are constantly fighting the waves and unexpected turns, so when we have important goals we should have a backup plan (or, word) to course correct, if necessary.
How to choose your word? There are a couple things you could ask yourself to help narrow it down:
"What do I need to accomplish this goal(s)?"
"Who do I need to become to achieve these goals?"
"What is the purpose of this goal?"
"Why is this important to me?"
"How will this positively affect me/world around me?"
The idea sounds SO simple but it's not. This one world should be the epitome of "tiny but mighty." It needs to move you in some way. Does it excite you? Does it force you to become an even stronger version of yourself (but also scare you at the same time)? If so, you're on the right path...
Some examples of words: Curious, Strength, Courage, Faith, Grow, Brave, Focus, Gratitude, Learn, Simplify, Intentional, Present, Finish, Energy and Joy. But, I encourage you to google "word of the year" and you'll get even more ideas that resonate with you!
I'd love to know what you come up with! If you're not a member already, join our free Facebook group and share your word of the year with us! Or if you'd rather, just hit reply to this email and fill me in (I'll share mine with you too:)).
Wishing you, , and your family the best year yet:)
Lots of love - Ali
