Picture yourself a year ago...

Do you remember the person you were a year ago? With a new year approaching next week, I've been doing a lot of reflecting on how this past year (and previous, consecutive years) continue to change me. And by "change" I mean grow, stretch, and challenge me. I have put myself in situations that scare me, knowing that I'll probably fail but I have to remind myself (just like I tell my kids) that mistakes are proof that I'm trying and that failures = lessons.

Taking time to self-reflect is really important. Honoring the progress and effort you have made in a year is part of why learning how to "enjoy the process" (whatever "process" means to you right now) is such a crucial element that is often overlooked or underestimated. But, picturing the person you want to be a year from now is just as critical. We don't take enough time to ask ourselves important questions. We are busy, and as a result, live on "autopilot." What I have realized though, is that sustained change/success doesn't happen easily without a plan - without making an effort - or without getting really specific with ourselves.

Over the next week, pencil in some time to ask yourself: "Who do I want to be a year from now?"

Get really specific. Make a plan. Put in the effort and implement it.

As always, if you need help with any of this, book a free chat with me. We all know how fast a year goes by so don't let another one pass without you being in the driver's seat and controlling the wheel.

Happy (early) New Year, ! Wishing you and your family lots of health, happiness, strength and courage in 2023!

Lots of love - Ali
